The Basics of SEO

Some prominent aspects of search optimization for Google search are considered. There is no magic ways or methods, to which the site will for ever take 1st place on page of search results. We simply wish to give some good advice about links, design, context and site structure.

Google Search and AdSense
First of all, we will remind that Google search and AdSense are two independent networks. Placing AdSense ad on a website does not render any influence on a site rating in Google search. Sites with AdSense ad are processed by Google in the standard way and do not receive any advantages.

Rating definition in search system Google is carried out by means of numerous algorithms. Optimization for a search network demands to work out long-term strategy. For this reason we recommend to avoid techniques which ostensibly allow a quick raise a site rating. Most likely, those techniques are violation of Google rules. If you have doubts, look for the information at the various forums, ask members of the forums about information you are interested. Google has its own official forum for web designers where it is possible to receive the help from other participants, and also councils Google employees.

Your pages should have accurate hierarchy and relevant internal links. Also it is recommended to create file Sitemap and sign up with Tools Google for web designers. Those useful and convenient tools help you to learn, for example, where your backlinks from or by what inquiries visitors find your site.
Use title tags, clear and useful to users. For example, avoid such headings, as "the Main page" or "Welcome to my website".

For images use attributes ALT properly describing their context. Google has prepared a short and useful video management on this subject and it can be found on YouTube and other video sharing sites.
Besides, if you regularly add the original context appealing to your visitors, Google will scan your site more often. It also will help to increase quantity of references to your pages.

Finally, when working on design of a site it is important to think of convenience to users, and also be consecutive. Support clearness of structure of the site and pages. Put it this way, if you are providing short and simple content, make sure it is clear. If it is a lengthy piece of article, split it into sections with sub headings. It really helps the eyes to capture the words, and understand better.

Improve your website with proper formatting

Websites that make their visitors work to read them are not the best way to get business. Minuscule fonts, text in colors that make it hard to see against the background color, and lines that are piled on top of each other are problems to them. Let us see the few steps that we can focus on .

1. Format your text using CSS.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are the way to go - use one style sheet and control how text looks on your entire site. Make a change to the style sheet and your whole site is updated. It makes life a lot simpler.

2. Make the font size big enough to read.

Consider your target audience. Even if they are a group of teenage girls looking for new shoes, it's never a good idea to use tiny type. It doesn't have to be enormous, but up to a point, larger type is better. 12-pt Arial is better than 8-pt Arial.

3. Make the text contrast with its background.

The more contrast, the better. Black-on-white or white-on-black are examples of the highest contrast you can get. Use colors if you like, but if you squint at the page and your text basically vanishes, there's not enough contrast.

4. Give the lines room to breathe.

Don't stack lines on top of each other. Use the line-spacing directive in CSS and give it some space; Set line-spacing to 16px of the height of a typical line.

5. Break text up into chunks.

People don't want to read endless pages of text. Break it up by using headlines that reflect the subject of the paragraph(s) to follow so people can scan down to the parts that really interest them, or use bullet lists to change the pace of the writing and slow down the scanning.

And finally, check your spelling. Nothing irritates me more on a web page than spelling errors - it simply makes you look like you don't care enough to get it right. Use that ubiquitous spellchecker tool.
Making your website's content more legible is easy. It doesn't take a lot of time, mainly common sense. The payoff will be text that's more readable, visitors that stick around long enough to get your message, and improved credibility with your visitors.
